This next sentence may come as a surprise to many, but Millennials do not spend all of their time on mobile devices.

Killing Off Industries

A reputation is important for all generations and you can say that Millennials fall short of having one that is considered good. Millennials are blamed for killing off numerous industries. Monotony is the rule of all evil when what you want is to create a good post that will reel in some new business. GIFs are huge right now and super fun for readers to maybe chuckle while they are reading and make the article easily relatable. Video and audio files can also be super enhance or something as simple as a meme or image, checklist, a top ten list, FAQs, the possibilities are endless.

Most readers will be scanning an article or post, and bullet points really draw out key points or words to flag what is important. What’s The Difference Between a Domain and a Website

The Difference Between A Domain And A Website

While domains and websites are closely connected, they are two very different things. After registering a domain you need to do something with it, put it to work for you. Your domain can be used for a website, for an email account, or for both. You can, however, register a domain and choose NOT to use it for a website or an email account.  However, you can’t have a website or an email account without a domain.

When used for a website, your domain name is what people type into their browser to find your site. This is why they are sometimes referred to as web addresses. So is the domain used for Lonnie Metzler’s website. Registering a domain, however, doesn’t automatically create a website. It only means that you’ve registered the domain.

So for example, if you decided to start your own business and you thought of great name for it, you might copyright the name to protect it. However, simply giving your business a name is only one of many steps that go into building your business. In the same manner, when you register a domain and want to use it for a website, you’ll need to first build the website, and then find a host for it so it can be visible on the Web.

What’s A Host

Website hosts are companies that house, serve, and maintain files for one or more websites. Think of a website hosting company like a shopping center that contains several individual stores. If you want to open a store at the shopping center, you can lease space and set up shop. Just like a shopping center, website hosting companies enable you to lease space on their web servers, where you can store your website files and make them available for visitors to view.

Because you’ve registered your domain, you can use it at any web hosting company you want. Remember your store in the shopping center? Suppose you decided to move your store and lease space at a different shopping center. If you packed up your products and moved to a new location, you would still be able to use the same name for your store. The same is true for your domain. Regardless of where you decided to host your website’s files, your domain remains yours for the duration of your registration.

Three Things To Consider For Website Images

When setting up your website for success, images play a huge role in not only the search engine optimization, but also the user experience. There are three things to consider when placing images in your website. So the three things I want to go over are size, text, and


If you have a decompression tool, you can upload an image at any size and then obviously, you can decompress it.  Without a tool, you will need to resize the image before you upload it on your website.  If you upload an image that is two to three thousand megapixels, it is going to slow down your site.  The photo might not look good on mobile, and it might appear larger on some pages.  There are plugins that make resizing easy and it is something to consider.


When a search is preformed on a search engine like Google or Bing, not only does text appear, relevant images appear as well.  If your image is titled with using search engine optimization techniques, your image could show up on the first page of Google directing visitors to your site!  This will help your website grow tremendously and create awareness.  Both of which are important goals to achieve for any website!

Every image that you upload should be named the exact same as the title of your blog. Just to reiterate, whenever someone searches a particular subject, not only is it possible for your title to appear, your images will appear as well.  This not only helps people find your site, but it aids in producing a higher ranking in search engines.

Linking Images

The third thing to consider is linking your images. Every time you upload an image this is probably the most likely thing you forget.  So remind yourself to put some sort of link in your image directing somebody where to go once they click on the image. Our natural tendency when reading a blog or looking at a website is to click on large images or images that are appealing.

So where are you going to take them? Are you going to take them to a image that pops up on the website and directs them to another page or are you going take them to a sales page?  No matter where you direct them, you want to keep them on your blog. It is important to remember people are going to click on your images. Why not make it another opportunity for you to send them where you want them to go?
